"Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones As bullying has moved beyond the schoolyard and to Facebook pages, online chat groups and cellphone texts, its victims are feeling more hopeless and depressed Examples A student is bombarded by anonymous threatening and taunting s at home, even though there is no direct harassment at school. A nasty fake profile is posted at a social networking site using a student’s real name, photo, and contact information

Surveys Show That 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, & physically 100,000 students carry a gun to school. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying Harassment and bullying have been linked to 75 percent of school-shooting incidents.
