2. What is Cyber Bullying?
"Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones.
Cyberbullying is usually not a one time communication, unless it involves a death threat or a credible threat of serious bodily harm.

6. Snapchat
Snapchat is a photo and video messaging app. Typically, chats are deleted immediately after read by senders. Users should be at least 13 years old to have a snapchat.

7. Kik
Kik is an instant messaging app that doesn’t require phone service. It can be used via data plans on cell phones or wifi. Therefore, phone service is not necessary to use this app. Users must be at least 13 years of age.

8. Instagram
Instagram is a mobile photo-sharing application and service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately on the service. Users must be 13 year of age to create an Instagram account.

9. Facebook
Facebook is a social media site that allows users to create profiles and communicate with others via the internet. Users must be 13 years of age to create and account.

10. Twitter
Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, "tweets," restricted to 140 characters. The minimum age requirement is 13.

Establish rules about appropriate use of computers, cell phones, and other technology.
Regularly monitor social media accounts and use of technology that children use.
Learn the potential school and legal consequences for cyber bullying
Do not delete evidence of cyber bullying
Block the individuals immediately
Report cyber bullying to social media sites, school officials, and police
