Background Aims to deliver a step-change in our evidence, and with it our influence Draws together £1.8M over 3 years across DCMS and 4 strategic bodies Initially focused on Opportunity: the drivers and impacts of engagement Builds on the value of Taking Part

Where we are First year contracted with world-class researchers (end: Winter 09/10) Currently scoping the systematic review (now to June 09) Depth analysis to generate policy-oriented models to start in Spring (April to Sept 09) Two other projects commissioned : –Scoping an assets dataset (end: April 09) –Review of regional evidence needs (end: June 09) Investment in longitudinal data via Understanding Society
