Health And The Whole Person When we think about our health, we often think only about our bodies. However, we are not just physical beings. There are other elements of our health that are just as important. They can be viewed as five areas of health, which often overlap with each other. Can you think of any of these areas? Health And The Whole Person This is a visual representation of the five areas of the whole person.

Health And The Whole Person Physical health is about how our bodies develop.

Health And The Whole Person Emotional health is about being able to recognise and express our feelings.

Health And The Whole Person Spiritual health is about taking time to find peace, consider why we are here and how to make the best of our lives.

Health And The Whole Person Social health is about how we relate to and mix with other people.

Health And The Whole Person Cognitive health is about how we think, learn, problem solve and make sense of the world around us.

As we grow physically, we also need to grow in all these areas if we are to develop into healthy adults.
