3 Many people from other countries come and make this country their home. They are called immigrants. They may have chosen this as their new home. Or they may have been forced to leave their own home due to war or natural disaster. Lets take a little walk in their shoes. Chapter 1: The Disaster Imagine there has been a huge storm in your home country. The whole country is flooded. Your only escape is in ten minutes by helicopter. 4 In my rucksack I would put… The helicopter will fly you to an emergency ship, out on the horizon, that will take you to another country. You have only ten minutes to pack a rucksack. 5 Chapter 2: A New Start After a long and difficult journey, you arrive in a new country. You notice that no one looks like you, no one talks like you or understands you. You are taken to a small house. A kind neighbour brings you a box of food, but you have never seen this kind of food before. What will you do? 10 Chapter 7: What Will You Bring? When people take the time to get to know you they realise that you have a lot to offer. They see that you have skills and talents.
