Potato pancakes Pancakes are a favourite type of potato pancakes in the kitchen eastern Slovakia and southern Moravia. The pancakes are often complementary milk.

Sheep cheese The most typical Slovak national meal is sheep cheese dumplings with bacon. They are prepared from potatoes, flour, salt, sheep cheese and bacon. A common accessory is a sheep cheese dumplings cup sour milk or whey.

Pies Pies are traditional Slovak food. Prepared from potatoes, flour, eggs, salt and additives. A common accessory is a curd or jam the stuffing, bread crumbs, cinnamon and powdered sugar for sprinkling and butter.

Cabbage Cabbage soup is a traditional Slovak potage. Prepared from sauerkraut. Varies by region and period cooking for Lent and festive.
