Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School has 47 classrooms and space for 1,300 students Monterey Trail High and Edward Harris, Jr. Middle schools are located next to each other on the same property. –Middle school students can take high school courses, and teachers and administrators can work closely together. Clubs have to consist of at least five members and a teacher as a sponsor. Clubs currently available at Edward Harris Jr. Middle School: Robotic's Club, Dance Club, MESA, and a Reading Club. Leadership class. (Similar to Student Government) Renaissance Program School Activities

They also have an after school program called "Zeros Aren't Permissible" or the "ZAP" Program. This is an after school program offered to students who are either failing Math and/or Language Arts. A teacher's referral and parent's permission slip is required to participate. School Activities

The Community

Many businesses and community organizations partner with the Elk Grove Unified School District by donating time and resources to their schools. Business partners provide many valuable services, including mentors, resources, and guest speakers. Partnerships

United Artists Movie Theatre Cosumnes River College Location where students can find entertainment. Location for fine arts such as the theatre and source of information. Locations in the Community

Apartment/Housing Construction Neighborhood Fire Station Future increases in the student population. A place to find assistance when in need of help/safe place. Locations in the Community

Strip Mall (Lowes, Starbucks, McDonalds, Del Taco, Gas Stations) Places for students to hang out with friends and socialize. Locations in the Community

Local Park District A local park belonging to a larger parkway where students can play with friends and families to spend some time relaxing. Locations in the Community
