29MW Plant in Erbil Governorate

29MW Diesel power Generation 29 MW Diesel Power Plant:  The project is specified as a diesel generation power plant,is implemented by BWSC Company.  The project over all cost is nearly 28 million USD including spare parts for 5 years and lobe oil for 2 years.  On 1/12/1999 the design of this project was started. The operation of this project started on 17/4/2001. The area of project is 24100m2  The power plant contains 4 units with 7.46 MW for each one.  The units are diesel engines manufactured by MAN B&W Germany.  The diesel engines are 16v32/40 type, 4 strokes and 750 rpm.  The alternators were manufactured by ABB with 11kv and 50 Hz out put.  The power plant will be connected with North Erbil substation grid through 2 outgoing feeders.  Normally the power plant can be synchronized with the grid  The plant has been designed to be operated on heavy fuel oil, diesel fuel oil and crude with certain specifications.
