3. From 2006 of April (1) to the end of (2011-2012), the YESB stands on its
own revenue. In budget year, YESB has been reinstated as
state owned utility and budget has been allocated by State Government

13. Goal & Opportunities of YESB
To encourage the private sector participation in Electric Power Sector and
Support the development of country economy
YESB tends to corporatization 51 % of Government Assets and 49 % of private investment shared respectively to increase the capital to be able to spend for distribution system Improvement.
( Public Private Partnership)
Government Assets shall be consisted of existing Land, Building, Vehicles, Office facilities, Substations, Distribution Lines.
The percentage ratio of share of government and private sector shall be changed in future towards privatization according to the progress .
