Presentation transcript:

 Use plans to wire and light shoe box  Relate this project to wiring a real house  As work, you’ll see ways to improve plan and will change blue print  Real builders see new possibilities and problems as they implement plans and they too have to make adjustments and changes as they work.  If change something, make a new wiring diagram.

 Box with batteries, battery holders, bulbs, bulb sockets, wires, and switch  Shoe box  Goodies that each student brought in to use  Glue  Scissors  Tape  Crayons or Markers  Screwdriver to punch holes

 Let me know if you need more material  Ask for help from group members  Switch needs to be inside the room  Battery needs to be outside the room  Draw a circle where want me to punch hole for bulb using the screwdriver.

 Make wiring diagram, especially if change something.  Take notes about what changed and why. What problems did you encounter? How did you resolve these problems?  Decorate house.  Present house to class.

 Create another switch. Consider a room with two doors and one light. Put a switch by each door and wire the room so that either switch can be used to turn the light on and off.  Write a story describing your house and how it was wired. Also, describe problems and how they were resolved.
