Priorities from the Care Act assuming new / extended responsibilities exploring the requirements under the Act understanding what these mean to existing policies and practices how these impact on existing resources creating a mechanism to deal with an “unknown quantity”

What we’ve done so far mapped the requirements against available resource and reconfigured (internally) to respond realigned the offer and that is now out for consultation reviewed existing policies that are affected by the changes brought about by the Act and need revision reviewed the Strategy and that is currently in draft preparing for consultation creating a reactive citizen’s portal offering access to advice, guidance and information

Next steps Understand the unfolding time table Be clear about future developments in legislation and be prepared to react Continue to develop and load up to date information to the portal so when it goes live (late summer) it will have the most up to date information Continue to consult on developments

Thank you for Listening! Questions
