What does the term ‘family’ mean to you? Write your definition of ‘family’: Two people who have had children, and made a new generation from their family.

The different types of families Reconstituted Families Nuclear family An independent family which just consists of a mum, dad and children. Extended family A family group that consists of parents, children, and other close relatives, often living in close proximity. Reconstituted Families Two people who get married but also have children from another relationship. Lone parent families A family that is run by a single parent after a recent divorce or split. Beanpole families This article reflects the long-standing use of the term kinship in anthropology, which refers to the web of social relationships that form an important part of the lives of most humans in most societies, although its exact meanings even within this discipline are often debated. Boomerang families a young adult who returns to live at his or her family home especially for financial reasons Symmetrical families A symmetrical family is a family that shares male and female roles. For example a woman will go to work just like the man will, a man will take care of these kids and so will the woman. It's basically sharing household jobs out fairly whether you are a male or female.
