THE BLACK RHINO! By Dan

Habitat They live in southern and eastern Africa for example Kenya and Namibia.

Food! They eat trees, bushes and shrubs They are browsers not grazers!

Fun facts! They have poor eyesight. Rhinos have an excellent sense of smell and hearing. Its front feet are bigger than its back feet. They can move surprisingly quickly- recorded at speeds of 55m/h. They can live up to years old. Black rhinos have a hooked lip and white rhinos have a square upper lip.

Under threat Poachers remain the biggest threat to the black rhino. They are hunted down for their horns which can be sold for Chinese medicine. CONSERVATION Rangers are needed to protect the black rhino. WWF is trying to help save the black rhino.
