Grid Objectives 1.On the page that has your image, copy this objective: You will use measuring skills in order to draw a 1-inch grid. 2.On your drawing page copy this objective: You will utilize the grid drawing technique in order to draw realistically. 3.Student teachers- Anyone who is finished with their drawing today will help others who are measuring and drawing still.

If you have done these things: 1.Gridding Day one pages 2.Drawn your 1 inch grid and finished your picture. 3.Made a 1 inch frame. 4.Gridded 4 boxes with ½ inch grid. 5.Finished your homework and turned it in. 6.Attempted a second grid with shading?? FINISHED ALL 6? Start collecting magazine images/ words for collage. Make an envelope to put them in.

Steps for drawing a 1-inch GRID 1.Cut out image. 2.Trace image (the outline of the rectangle) where you are going to draw it. 3.Mark every inch on the horizontal axis at the top and bottom. 4.Mark every inch on the vertical axis on the left and right side. 5.Connect your lines. 6.Make your 1-inch marks on your drawing, too and connect the lines. 7.Number the vertical and letter the horizontal.
