2 Portraits Objective: You will analyze measures and shapes in order to draw facial features in proportion. DRILL: Get a mirror and paint pump to set up mirror (on counter near sink.) Take minutes to attempt a first portrait. (in sketchbook) What are proportions? We will start a step-by-step portrait demo. This drawing will be 100pt grade. Portrait in proportion, not necessarily to look like you. Turn in still life drawing on front table.

Place on front table under screen. You can stay after school Wed or next week to finish it.

What do the top of the ears line up with? What about the bottom of the ears? What are proportions? Proportions

Objective: You will analyze measurements on a face in order to draw proportional portraits. What are proportions? Proportions are size relationships used to show correct measurements. A RELATIONSHIP OF SIZE.

12 Proportions of the Face
Eyes are in the middle from top to bottom. Face is 5 eyes wide. Nostrils line up with tear ducts. Corners of mouth line up with pupils Ears line up with eye lid and bottom of nose.

13 Draw Proportions with Demonstration
You need a pencil and eraser. Make sure you have a mirror set up. Start on good paper. This will be your imitational portrait pts Does not need to look like you.
