Protecting Animal Welfare at Time of Killing (PATK) SQA and Improve have developed a competence based qualification to comply with requirements of EU Regulations covering Animal Welfare Scottish Government, Defra and devolved nation authorities are finalising the implementation arrangements Food Standards Agency will issue Certificates of Competence (the Licences) not same as qualification Improve and Animal Welfare Team will host workshops specific to PATK later in 2013
