Oregon ENERGY STAR Homes Measure Update Adam Hadley Regional Technical Forum March 17, 2015

Overview Today, we are seeking an RTF decision to update the measure definition, savings, cost, and sunset date for the Oregon ENERGY STAR Homes UES Measure. The measure was last updated April The current sunset date for the measure is April – Reason for this date was the anticipation of the new Federal Standard for water heaters Need to update savings to reflect new federal standard Oregon adopted a new code on October 1, 2014.new code – Minor updates No changes are necessary to RTF’s assumed baseline ENERGY STAR has a new specification effective July 2014new specification – Spec removes from old spec “prescriptive pathway options” (ducts inside, equipment upgrade, envelop pathway) and removes BOP 2 (resistance path).old spec – Spec now has one prescriptive path (which includes ducts inside), with a focus on (RTF-approved) performance-based tradeoffs (via REM/Rate) Need to update measure definitions to match new specification 2
