These are the two major ideologies in the U.S.

What are liberal and conservative?

The Democratic Party tends to appeal to this ideology

What is liberal?

Someone who favored low taxes and less government involvement would most likely be classified in this ideology

What is conservative?

This is who both political parties must try to appeal to in order to win elections

What are moderates?

A person on the extreme left of the ideological spectrum would tend to agree with this political party

What is the Socialist or Communist party?

A Jewish woman under 30 working in a government job would likely vote for this party

What is the Democratic Party?

These were America’s first two political parties (after the ratification of the Constitution)

What were the Federalist Party and the Democratic- Republican Party
