Can you identify the different parts of the plant? Flower Leaves Stem Roots

What is the function of the root? The root has two functions… Roots keep the plant in place so it does not blow away. They absorb (take in) water and nutrients. Roots

What is the function of the stem? The stem has two functions… The stem holds the flower up towards the sunlight. It carries the water from the roots to the rest of the plant. Stem

What is the function of the flower? The flower has three functions… It attract insects. 2. It makes pollen. 3. It makes a seed.

What is the function of the leaves? The leaves have two functions… Leaves take in sunlight and carbon dioxide so they can make energy (through photosynthesis). They release waste products (including oxygen). Leaves
