ETSU’s School of Graduate Studies offers... ●38 Master’s Degree Programs ●70+ Concentrations ●18 graduate certificates ●11 Doctoral programs in Audiology (Aud.D.) Biomedical Sciences (Ph.D.) Early Childhood (Ph.D.) Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) Environmental Health (Ph.D.) Nursing (Ph.D./D.N.P.) Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) Psychology, Clinical (Ph.D.) Public Health (Dr.P.H.) Sport Physiology & Performance (Ph.D.) OVER 100 Program Choices!

School of Graduate Studies Enrolls over 2,200 graduate students, not counting Pharm.D. and M.D. students and residents. Analyzes transcripts of international students from dozens of countries, including many from China, India, Cameroon, France, Ghana. Processes over 3,500 graduate applications per year, but we do a lot more than take applications. Confers with over 50 graduate coordinators in helping students progress from admission to graduation Processes over 1,000 GA/TS contracts per year. Recruits throughout the southeastern U.S. Reviews all theses and dissertations. Checks completion of graduation requirements of all graduate students. Participates in the development of programs and policies at the graduate level. Monitors graduate faculty status of all faculty teaching, advising, and serving on committees at the graduate level.

Categories and Terms of Graduate Faculty Status at ETSU ● Temporary (one or two semesters): Does not meet criteria for member, but has special competencies needed in program. Cannot chair thesis or advisory committee, but may serve as a fourth, supplemental member. ● Affiliate Member (three years): Does not meet criteria for member, but has special competencies needed in program. May serve as one of three members of graduate advisory or thesis committees, but cannot chair. ● Member (five years): Faculty member with terminal degree with productivity in teaching, scholarly research, or creative activity; directing graduate student research; grant writing; and/or providing departmental, college, or university leadership, but who lacks an extended record of accomplishment in these areas. ● Senior Member (seven years): Faculty member with terminal degree who has demonstrated an on-going involvement in graduate teaching, maintained a record of excellence in research and publication or creative activity; directed graduate student research; served on graduate student committees; and provided departmental, college, university, and/or professional leadership.
