The Big Switch: turning London’s buses and taxis electric The Big Switch London’s buses, taxis and vans still mostly run on diesel. They shouldn’t. Air pollution from traffic causes huge health problems, and makes London a dirty, noisy city. That needs to change. Our plan shows how all of London’s buses and taxis, and most commercial vans, could run on electricity by It’s possible.

The Big Switch: turning London’s buses and taxis electric The Problem Air pollution - 4,200 premature deaths - 700,000 asthma sufferers in London - Economic cost of the health impacts of poor air quality in London as high as £2 billion

The Big Switch: turning London’s buses and taxis electric - Impact on children

The Big Switch: turning London’s buses and taxis electric The Problem Rising fuel prices

The Big Switch: turning London’s buses and taxis electric The Opportunity Bus operators in London will spend £1.7 billion on diesel fuel in the next 10 years. The power for electric buses would cost £280 million.
