The Elder Pliny He was an author, naturalist, philosopher, a navel commander for early Rome and a real person not a fictional character. In his spare time he would investigate the natural and geological world. He was born in 23AD in the town of Como, Italy and died saving friends and family when Vesuvius erupted on august 15,79AD. His parents where Celler and Marcella.
