He wrote a book It was called, The Travels of Marco Polo.
He knew the King of China very well and became famous.

5. Family
When he was little he grew up parentless most of his childhood because his parents died when he was young.
He got married and had three daughters for some 25 years he carried on the family business.

6. Death He died at home in Venice on January 8, 1724.
As he was dying fans and visitors came to try and get him to say the book was a lie.

He was born into a wealthy family but mostly grew up parentless.
The King of China told him to come with 100 Priests came only came with 2.
He meant to only leave for a few years but stayed 23 years.
He was sent to places in Asia that Europeans haven't explored.
It took him 17 years to decide to go home and had to take a princess to get married in Persia.

8. Fun Facts When he came home he was in Asia for 2 decades.
No one was familiar with him when he came back.
He was in the war and got captured and made friends with a fellow prisoner Rubenon Stichells.
He was left in 1299 and realized his book which became popular.
