Fahrenheit Temperature Beth Clause

This is the scale we use in the United States of America. The scale is divided into 180 intervals called degrees. It was invented by Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit in 1724.

We measure temperature using a thermometer. When reading a thermometer, you need to measure up to the red line. This tells you the temperature. If you are sick, your body temperature will be greater than 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.

The freezing point of water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The boiling point of water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

People usually keep the temperature in a room at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a comfortable inside temperature.

If it is 70 degrees Fahrenheit outside, you can wear normal clothes outside.

If it is 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside, you will want to go swimming.

If it is 40 degrees Fahrenheit outside, you will want to wear a jacket outside.
