5. Anders Celsius (1701-1744) Anders Celsius later in 1743 invented the Celsius scale. Using the same points, he determined that the freezing point for water to be 0 and the boiling point to be 100 degrees. This Celsius scale is now known as a universal system unit and used in most countries.
