OREGON COAST AQUATIC PARK

WHAT IS OCAP?

OCAP IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER TO DEVELOP A FISCALLY SUSTAINABLE TOURIST FACILITY. OUR ROLE IS TO ESTABLISH A GRASS-ROOTS EFFORT TO SECURE LAND AND FUNDING FOR THE NEW FACILITY. AFTER CONSTRUCTION, OUR INITIAL GOAL WILL BE COMPLETED.

OCAP HAS A SOLUTION TO HELP REVITALIZE OUR LOCAL ECONOMY

THE NEWPORT COAST HAS : THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER OREGON COAST AQUARIUM HATFIELD MARINE SCIENCE CENTER LIGHTHOUSES THE BEACH SHOPPING DISTRICTS

HERE’S THE NEXT ATTRACTION FOR THE REGION

CONCEPTUAL DRAWING 1.ALL LINCOLN COUNTY RESIDENTS PAY ONE RATE 2.WILL NOT BE CONSTRUCTED OR OPERATED WITH TAX DOLLARS 3.WILL BE OWNED BY A NON-PROFIT AND MANAGED BY PROFESSIONALS 4.WILL HAVE AN 8- LANE 25 YD. COMPETITION POOL

CONCEPTUAL DRAWING CENTER CORE WILL HOUSE FOOD COURT, CLIMBING WALL, RETAIL SPACES, ARCADE, ETC. INCOME FROM THESE ENTERPRISES WILL SUBSIDIZE THE COMPETITION POOL

AQUATIC PARK INCOME WILL BE USED TO SUBSIDIZE THE COMPETITION POOL.

THE AQUATIC PARK WILL PROVIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - NEW JOBS, AND LIVING WAGES WITH BENEFITS THE AQUATIC PARK WILL BRING TOURISTS (AND THEIR MONEY) TO OUR REGION OF THE COAST

THE AQUATIC PARK WILL BE A SAFE AND HEALTHY PLACE FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN OPERATORS WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED OTHER ENTERTAINMENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR NON SWIMMERS. TOURISTS WILL BE ATTRACTED TO THE NEWPORT AREA YEAR ROUND.

THE REALITY IS THAT A COMPETITION POOL CANNOT RAISE ENOUGH FUNDS JUST FROM FEES. IT HAS TO BE SUBSIDIZED. OCAP’S SOLUTION IS TO OFFER EVEN MORE TO THE CITIZENS OF LINCOLN COUNTY AND TO THE TOURISTS WHO COME HERE. BY BUILDING AN AQUATIC PARK WITH MANY SOURCES OF INCOME, THE COMPETITION POOL IS PAID FOR. IF YOU ARE VISITING MC MINNVILLE, EUGENE, GREAT WOLF, DALLAS OR CORVALLIS SO THAT YOUR KIDS/GRANDKIDS CAN SWIM, YOU ARE USING A FACILITY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE PROPOSE.
