1 The Oviedo Farm introducing The Oviedo Farm Using Food and Farm as a Community Building Tool Imagine the Possibilities

2 Our Mission To provide access to fresh, locally grown, organic food, job training, and environmental education by operating an urban agricultural enterprise

3 Our Vision The Oviedo Farm - is a lush 4 acres of organically grown vegetables, herbs and fruits. It is located within the community of Oviedo FL and will provide 14,000 + meals annually. Situated within the bountiful acreage is a solar powered building that houses a storefront market that is open to the public daily, and where the fresh, organic produce will be sold. Behind the market are classrooms where adults and children come to learn about agriculture, and the environment. There is space provided for tool storage and working, plus a greenhouse for year round production. There is also a safe, permanent home for our famous Oviedo chickens. The chickens will be free-range raised and their eggs will be sold at the market. The farm will serve as a resource for community gardeners and will partner with other farms in order to provide the a wide variety of produce to be sold at the market. This non-profit enterprise will offer economic development through local food processing, educational programs, and job support. The Oviedo farm will offer a rich opportunity for community cohesion through a most basic human need.

4 Products Produce - We will grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and fruits organically, and will raise organic, free-range chickens for the production of eggs only. Fund Raising – We will have fund raising events to support operations. Charity – We will make donations to the local food bank. Grants – We will seek the aid of grant money available.
