The Chair trains high-qualified specialists, who can make various fabricated assemblies, create high performance welding technology, and develop new automated welding processes, such as: Welding Machines and Technologies Plasma-arc welding and weld deposition, cutting and spraying Plastic and gummed materials welding Electroslag processes Non-ferrous and alloy welding, electron-beam and diffusive-vacuum welding, weld joint control PC application in engineering, calculations and managing of welding processes. During the period of study students have an opportunity to get work a profession.

Welding Machines and Technologies Chair staff got more than 100 certificates of authorship and patents for inventions. There were more than 400 articles published. Students participate in research conferences, publish articles in press, take part in different research competitions.
