3. 3 Specialty Description In the framework of the course “Applied information science in economy” the Chair trains students in information systems, give them flexible knowledge in the sphere of economy and management of enterprises. The students manage modern methods of using, supports and creation of professional- focused information systems in economics.

6. 6 Chair Staff High qualified specialists work at the chair: –Three professors, doctors of science, –Thirteen associate professors, candidates of science. There is a post-graduate study of the following specialties: - «Mathematic modeling, numerical methods and program complexes» (05.13.18) - «Systems analysis, information operation and processing» (05.13.01) - «Economy and Natural Economy Management» (08.00.05) The professors of the chair are the members of several Defend Ph.D. Thesis Councils.

7. 7 Chair Material Base The chair has three computer classes, equipped with modern PCs. There is also an Internet-class, assigned for laboratory practice, research work, etc. The computers are united into local network and linked up to the OSTU corporative network. The chair has thirty PCs, several laser printers, scanners, plotters, fax and other equipment.
