9.11- Nuremburg Trials Before the war ended- President Roosevelt wanted a new international political organization to be created to prevent wars delegates from 39 countries met to discuss the new organization that would be called the United Nations.

United Nations April 25, representatives from 50 countries met in San Francisco to officially organize the United Nations and create it charter, or constitution. The delegates decided to have a General Assembly- where each nation would have one vote.
