Project 1 The Family Health project is designed to look at your family history to see if a disease is common to your family.

Project 1 Lets take a look at this screen

Project 1

As you saw on that screen shot, there is a key you can use to help you. A. *=Cancer B. !=Diabetes C. $=Substance Abuse (aka drugs or alcohol) D. %=Heart Disease

Project 1 From there, go to the next slide, slide 3, and fill in the information for your family. Don’t worry if you don’t know your great great grand parents name. From there, you are done. Make sure you save.

Project 2 Project 2, health related issues, is designed have you do some research on a disease.

Project 2 To do this research, you must do the following: A. Pick a disease B. Ask Mr. Davis if you can use a computer for research. C. Google search your disease. D. Write a 1 page write-up about your disease. Keep in mind cause, cure, affects.

Project 3 Nutritional Analysis is designed to have you look over the foods you have eaten in a 24 hour period. From there, you need to analyze it to see if what you eat is healthy or not.

As you can see, I boxed an important tab. This tab will allow you to know how many calories you took in with the food you ate. Special note, if you click on that tab and it doesn’t work, let Mr. Davis know and he will solve this problem

Project 3 Once you are done with the interactive menu. Let Mr. Davis know and he will take care of how to save it.

Project 3 From there, you go to the next slide and write a reflective essay. In this essay, be sure to address the issues of portion size, calorie intact, and any actions you will take if you need to fix your diet to make it healthier.

Project 4 This project is designed to have you research a career in health care.

Project 4 Here are some examples of career in the health industry: A. Doctor B. Nurse C. PA Nursing Home employee

Project 4 Just like project 2, you will need to ask Mr. Davis to help you perform the internet research. Once you are done, write a 1 page paper about the career you researched. Include items like, education needed, pay, risk, summary of duties you would perform on the job.
