 How much alcohol is drunk at home?  How much exercise do you do a week?  How do you get to school?  Do you do any activity outside of school?  If so, why?

4 Lifestyle Choices There are lots of things that we have to do on a day to day basis like going to school, but we have choices over some of the things we do. We make decisions about: Diet Alcohol How long we spend working How long we spend sleeping How long we spend resting

5 Actions What choices have you already made today that could impact on your health? Work with a partner and go through you day; Is there anything you could have done differently? E.G Walked to school instead of taking a lift Have all your choices been good ones as far as your health is concerned? (List specific examples)

DIET Regularly eating more calories than the body needs for he amount of physical work it is doing will lead to weight gain Obesity can be a cause of poor lifestyle choices in relation to diet What can be done to solve the problem? In pairs note down as many things you can think of that can be done to help the problem of obesity in both children and adults. What can be done by the people them selves, their families, their doctor, the NHS and the government?
