EARTH DAY CELEBRATION SÃO PAULO, 22 APRIL 2010 PROMOTION EARTH CHARTER INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE UMAPAZ – OPEN UNIVERSITY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND A CULTURE OF PEACE MUNICIPAL SECRETARIAT OF GREEN AND ENVIRONMENT OF SÃO PAULO PROGRAMME: AMECON-CEJOLI NGO, Americanópolis district, São Paulo. 9:00 h. Environmental Adventure at the Ibirapuera Park, with children from the AMECON-CEJOLI NGO, Americanópolis district, São Paulo. 10:30 h. Presentation, at the entrance of UMAPAZ, of the music about Education for the Future by a group of students from the Especialization Course, Ecology, Art and Sustainability, an alliance between the UNESP Art Institute and UMAPAZ 10:45 h. The hoisting of the following flags at the entrance of UMAPAZ: from the Municipality of São Paulo, by the Submayor of Villa Mariana, Manoel Antonio da Silva Araújo; the Brazilian flag, by the Secretary of Green and Environment, Eduardo Jorge; and the Earth flag by the Mayor Gilberto Kassab, with the presence of the students of the third group of the Earth Charter in Action course for the formation of socio-environment local agents as well as other invitees. 11:00 h. Planting trees at the Ibirapuera Park with the children from the AMECON-CEJOLI NGO, with the Mayor, the Secretary and Cristina Moreno, representative of the Earth Charter International Initiative 11:30 h. Stories, at the Ibirapuera Park, by Fábio Lisboa, infantile literature writer and story teller, 14:00 h. Knowing the Earth Charter Workshop, with 40 participants, with Daniela Piaggio as facilitator from the Germinare NGO (Curitiba, PR) 17:30 h. Closed doors presentation of the musician Valter Pini.
