Forest floor In this layer lives ants spiders ladybird. In this layer it is very stinky and muddy. Over 750 of species of animals live in this stinky layer. It is full of dead leaves twigs. The forest floor is approximately 5 foot in the air. It is estimated that hardy 2 percent of the sunlight reaches the forest floor

Understory The understory is hot and damp and the air is very still. The leaves and plants hardly ever even grow 12 feet but most of the plants are about maybe 4 or 6 foot. U cant find any sunlight in the understory layer
