Homework Lemm has moved away from traditional homework. Homework will no longer be counted as 10% of your child’s grade. Homework is optional. “Completes Homework” is no longer on the weekly conduct sheet

Homework Math homework will continue to go home weekly. (Optional to complete, but it will be sent home). Science study guides will also be sent home a week before test day. We strongly encourage that you review the math pages and science study guides with your child/children. It is your opportunity to see what your child is learning in school and a good way to have a conversation with your children.

Homework Also being assigned weekly Read for 20 minutes a day. Questions are on my website and attached in . Practice addition and subtraction math facts up to 20 Reflex math (way to practice math facts) Although homework is optional, we strongly encourage that you review these skills with your child/children.

GRADING GUIDELINES Major grades-60% Minor grades-40% Reading-3 major/8 minor Language-3 major/5 minor Math-3 major/8 minor Science -3 major/6 minor Social Studies -3 major/6 minor

Science Study Guides Science Study Guides will be glued in the science journal 1 week prior to the test. Students need to do the work on the study guide once glued into their journal. Students need to fill in any vocabulary or questions Work on the study guide throughout the week so that it is not overwhelming to your child. Students need to start working on good study habits with you. Parents sign the study guide the night BEFORE the test.

Math There will be weekly math facts quizzes. At the end of the year, students must be able to complete 30 addition and 30 subtraction facts in a minutes time. Can go to to print out math fact sheets to practice. There will not be a math study guide. Go over homework and assignments that go home weekly. Most times our website will have example type problems on the testing information breakdown.

E-Instruction Some assignments/assessments will be administered using e-instruction. Grades are not recorded on paper. Please check Gradespeed regularly to see student grades. Math e-instruction grades will be recorded on paper only when computations are required.

Behavior Plan Discipline Chart with recorded behaviors for the day Money – Positive behavior earns your child money that they can use to buy privileges for the classroom. Students are responsible for their money. They need to keep it in their plastic bag or pencil bag. Not following classroom/school procedures will result in their work habit grade being adjusted accordingly. Wednesday folders will document behavior concerns. Please discuss these concerns with your child so that they can work on correcting their behavior.
