About the MBA The MBA in Insurance is designed for insurance professionals. Olivet College, in partnership with the Institutes, awards up to 24 hours of credit for CPCU certification toward the MBA in Insurance. The MBA in Insurance is a 16 course, 48 credit hour degree program which leads to a Masters of Business in Insurance. There are 12 core classes equaling 36 hours of credit then 4 remaining elective classes totaling 48 credits, that are required to obtain the degree. Some MBA and other designation classes can be transferred.

Facts to Consider All classes are on-line in real time - meaning you will never have to come to our campus to complete your MBA Total credits needed to complete your MBA are 48 but if you have your CPCU ® we can waive up to 24 of those credits We run 4 semesters a year, 8 week semesters, generally 3 classes a semester Each class runs one night a week for 2 hours, generally from 6 – 8 pm EST Olivet College waives the GMAT if you have your CPCU ® designation We use Adobe Connect and Blackboard for classroom and homework assignments

Why an MBA at Olivet College? 40% of the insurance workforce will be eligible to retire in the next 5 – 10 years Many of those positions will be in management Olivet College’s MBA in Insurance classes are geared toward management of P & C and L & H insurance companies, insurance agencies and claims servicing organizations The cost of each credit is $681 or $2,043 per class

Many of our classes are taught by insurance professionals Insurance strategies are frequently discussed in class Assignments often involve insurance research of current trends The students are from across the country in the insurance industry providing insight and discussion that is interactive and collaborative In the virtual classroom, Adobe Connect Pro is utilized, encouraging students to interact with each and the professors on a face to face basis Small class sizes of 8 students keeps everyone involved in the topic inspiring professional relationships and networking Strong emphasis on ethics and leadership skills

The Adobe Classroom What is Adobe Connect? Adobe Connect is a web conferencing platform for web meetings, eLearning, and webinars. Adobe Connect enables mobile learning on virtually any device to conduct training or participate in virtual classes across devices including iOS and Android, as well as the desktop with no downloads. This provides learners to have access anywhere, anytime on virtually any device. Adobe Connect delivers an immersive experience in live and on- demand classes in real time to maximize participation for multiple learners to create discussion and bolster group interaction. There is no hardware to purchase or software to download.
