Warm up Make vocabulary word part cards out of the roots, prefixes, and suffixes on the board. Use the note cards you brought with your school supplies. MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COLOR NOTE CARD FOR EACH CATEGORY! On the front put the word part by itself. Use markers. On the back write the definition of the word part and at least 3 words that contain that word part. With your table/partner brainstorm words that contain the word part. Work together! You will use the vocabulary card to help you study for the word power test THIS Friday.
