3 types of “le bac”  Le Bac L (littéraire)-careers in the humanities such as education, linguistics, and public service. They also have interests in the arts. The most important subjects in the literary stream are Philosophy and French language & literature and other languages.

Le Bac S (sciences)  careers in scientific fields such as medicine, engineering and the natural sciences.

Le bac ES (sciences économiques et sociales)  careers in the social sciences, in Philosophy, in management and business administration, law, and in economics.
