Richmond’s Key Points State Capitol of Virginia, Nicknamed the River City Population of approx. 200,000 within the city limits and 1.26 million over the metropolitan area (3 rd largest in VA). Geographically located within 2 hours drive of Washington, D.C., Charlottesville, Williamsburg, and Virginia Beach. Set on the fall line of the James River and the intersections of Interstates 95 and 64. Climate includes 4 distinct seasons. Virginia Commonwealth University vcu.edu vcu.edu A premier public research university located in downtown Richmond with more than 31,163 students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees (23,962 undergraduate). The largest undergraduate majors are Biology, Psychology, and Mass Communications while the largest Graduate majors are Social Work, Business Administration, and Nursing. VCU Health System vcu.edu/medicalcenter/ vcu.edu/medicalcenter/ VCU Health System (VCUHS) is the clinical delivery component of the VCU Medical Center and is the only academic medical center in central Virginia.
