GCSE/AS/A2 Photography Aims and Learning Outcomes You will  actively engage in the process of creating images to to develop as critical and reflective thinkers.  develop creative skills through learning to use imagination and intuition when taking photographs.  experiment with traditional darkroom techniques and new digital media like Photoshop and Moviemaker.  develop cultural knowledge through visual analysis of photographs in historical & contemporary contexts.

OCR GCSE Photography Units Unit 1: Coursework Portfolio (worth 60%) Students produce a portfolio of work based on 3 genre themes: Still Life Objects Identity Portraiture Landscape-Location Students are introduced to a wide range of photographic media. Students acquire basic analytical and conceptual skills through research of photographers from different cultures and time periods. Unit 2: OCR-set Project (worth 40%) Students select one theme from an exam paper and then they produce a personal project in response. They will show independent research and image making skills.
