AIMS at Training students, staff, civil protection volunteers and professionals about procedures and rules to be respected in case of natural or anthropic disaster and offering a complete set of educational resources to all the categories involved in the prevention, preparedness, self protection and cultural comprehension of the risks Through A set of Web based tools addressed to the educative system related to the prevention and preparedness THE SEE PROJECT

A European Civil protection platform with some educative axis -micro-blogging contents to enhance the transparency of the contents -cooperative and social learning to create community of learners and practitioners -video and visual learning to meet the needs of people with special conditions The platform will be realized with e-learning tools (already existing and new) and will be divided in risks sectors and categories of users. The platform is created to be social and, in this perspective, it will interact with the social networks (facebook, twitter, you tube, vimea etc...) in order to increase the number of participants and the level of their involvement. To reach the goal SEE project will realize

A web community that can support the exchange of information and practices related also to the products of the existing Civil Protection Project, for promoting the: - knowledge of the disasters origins and causes, - verification of the actions addressed to prepare the school population, the volunteers and the professionals in case of disasters involving a school organization - creation of common tools (e-exercises, PC games, Console tools) to be used to give information about the correct behaviors and procedures before, during and after the strike

To reach the goal SEE project will realize A Web TV On-demand that is an innovative product created to complete the learning offer. The web tv will contain three main categories of contents: Streaming events (live seminars and meetings with a specific out-door service to allow questions and interventions made by the public) TV broadcasted programs (including the first two pilot-parts of a TV show in En with subtitles in the other languages, about procedures and actions to be developed in case of a disaster) On-demand products (the existing videos and the new ones realized for the project) The Web TV will be interactive and will operate connections and links with the social networks. Both the Platform and the Web TV will be realized in order to be Multi-platform (Mobile – Iphone and Android, Tablet and Ipad, pc) and compatible with all the most popular browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Explorer etc...) A pilot series will be a first experiment of program about the civil protection initiatives and can represent the first step of a civil protection European TV channel

FOLLOW UP After the end of the project a permanent staff consisting of coordinator and partners will be established in order to maintain the Web TV, the e-learning platform and the educational materials and tools. The Civil Protection Educational Web TV and the e-learning platform can represent a desirable first step for the creation of a European Civil protection Web TV, managed and organized by the users, by the schools, by the volunteers/professionals…, a TV addressed not only to the school system but to every sector of the civil protection. In order to maintain and further develop the TV, the members of the SEE consortium will proceed (during the project lifetime) in making specific agreements with the Educative and Civil Protection Authorities in order to put at their disposal all the resources, the didactical tools and materials, other than the platform and the Web TV.
