1 YMC(H)A Youth Mobilization – Cultural Heritage and Athletic Valorization In the framework of the European Territorial Cooperation Programme Greece – Bulgaria 2007 - 2013

2 Objectives of the Project: The overall objective of YMC(H)A project is to provide partners and others engaged in policy making on the promotion of sports as part of the cultural heritage with infrastructure and guidance on how to sustainably promote sports. Related sub-objectives: 1.To raise awareness of current situation and initiatives designed to promote and protect sports. This structured framework for information sharing and dissemination creates opportunities for open dialogue between research centers, sports centers, sports associations, youth centers, policymakers, local organizations, NGO’s and the public. 2.To share good practice and existing experience among partners. 3.To develop cooperatively works (renovation and construction) and multimedia applications contributing to the promotion of sports. 4.To engage with a wider stakeholder network, including sports associations, through dissemination activities including festivals and regional and international events. 5.To produce practical guidance for local and regional authorities and agencies across the EU, to extend YMC(H)A relevance well beyond the life of the project and ensure continued support for sports and culture policy development.
