The Internationalisation of Hed An on-line training course for EM Administrators

Partners NSs: Italy (c), Belgium FC, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal Duration: from November 2011 to September 2014

The goal of the INTER-HEd project is to create an on-line training course focusing on the internationalisation of the Higher Education Systems. The course will be targeted at administrative staff working in Higher Education Institutions, who are in charge of the management the Erasmus Mundus courses/projects and to the staff of the Erasmus Mundus National Structures. - 2 on-line course editions (February-September 2013 & 2014); - 40 participants per edition (20 from HEIs and 20 from NSs); - selection phase: 1st Ed. from August 2012 to January nd Ed, from August 2013 to January 2014

MODULE 1 - HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEMS 1.1 Characteristics of Higher Education systems 1.2 Terminology in the Higher Education context 1.3 Higher Education Institutions: university and non-university sector 1.4 Diplomas and Degrees: Qualifications Frameworks 1.5 Higher Education in Emerging Countries: Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRICs) 1.6 Information resources on Higher Education systems

MODULE 2 - JOINT PROGRAMMES & HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS 2.1 Characteristics of joint programmes 2.2 Nature and typologies of joint qualifications 2.3 Accreditation and recognition procedures of HED institutions and programmes 2.4 Networks and partnerships among Higher Education institutions 2.5 Student management and support in the framework of JPs: VISA, services, joint applications and selection 2.6 Information resources on joint programmes and degrees
