Regions for Economic Change Conference | 20th-21st May 2010 I Page 9 A Local Action Plan for the Old Town of Regensburg Integrated management and sustainable development of the World Heritage Site Regensburg Our Tasks in Regensburg are: Balancing the safeguarding of the UNESCO World Heritage site Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof with the sustainable development of the area (social, economic and environmental aspects) Securing a multifunctional, vital and attractive old town for residents and visitors alike Managing (conflicting) needs and interests of all stakeholders concerned (e.g. residents, visitors, conservators, etc….)
