Mission Statement & Advisor Job Description JFYNetWorks Environmental Technology Training Program Advisory Board Member Job Description SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Advisory Board advises and assists the agency with all program activities, including strategic planning, program development, curriculum and instruction, outreach and recruitment, public relations, and job placement. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend quarterly board meetings and advise management team on the policies and procedures of JFY’s Environmental Technology Training Program Make one or more presentations to the trainees. Arrange tours of environmental work sites and companies. Help identify public and private funding sources. Assist with the continuous development of the Environmental Technology Training Program. Oversee program assessments. Assist with marketing and public relations to present JFY to the broader community. Help establish collaborations with individuals and organizations that can assist in achieving JFY’s goals. Assist with job placement activities.

Development of Training Curriculum The Dick and Carey model  of Instructional Design: Identification of the instructional goal Instructional analysis of the goal Analysis of entry behaviors (what learners already know) and learner characteristics (subordinate skills) Identification of performance objectives Develop assessment instruments, e.g. criterion-referenced test items Develop an instructional strategy Preparation (development or selection) of instructional materials including a sequence of intermediary objectives and learning activities for each. Design and conduct formative evaluation of instruction : observations  and benchmarks used to improve the design or parts of it Revise instruction Design and conduct summative evaluation: did the training achieve its goals?
