STEM Collegian Center Grant Funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF)Funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) –Support STEM Collegian Center to provide a mentored, co-curricular learning community –An interdisciplinary approach to STEM, to improve depth and breadth of learning –Integration of research, service, and education to promote student understanding and excitement

Membership Criteria and Responsibilities Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 Contact faculty mentor at least twice each month Participate in two or more STEM Collegian Center activities per semester Participate in at least one hour of civic engagement (volunteer service) per semester Participate in assessment surveys and activities to help improve the Center

NSF Scholars Program Scholarship Program –Maximum award for an independent student - $11, 632 per year –Maximum award for a dependent student - $7, 822 per year Workshops Design competitions Travel funds

Eligibility Requirements Full-time (enrolled in minimum of 12 credit hours) Student Major in any STEM degree program * 3.0 overall GPA (3.5 for entering high school graduates) 3.0 GPA in STEM courses No STEM grade below a C (if a course is repeated the most recent grade counts) Have completed or tested out of Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1040) Be or become a member of the STEM Collegian Center and adhere to the requirements thereof Demonstrate financial need per the U.S. Department of Education rules U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Alien admitted as a Refugee, Alien lawfully admitted to U.S. for permanent residence
