11 Implementation details (I) STRATEGIC CRITERIA 1.Inclusion of educational activities of formal or non-formal character. 2.Involvement of the members of the Roma community at the stage of the project preparation and implementation. 3.Utilisation of measures enlisted in the the national strategy, chapter VII Measures aimed at the realisation of the aims of the Governmental Programme for the Roma Community in Poland. 4.Declared result in employment of min. 25% of the Roma that participated in the project. 5.Partnership with organisations acting for the benefit of the Roma community.

14 EDUCATION: formal and non-formal education activities for Roma children, youths and adults, employment of teachers and Roma educational assistants to support Roma childrens education, development of handbooks regarding Romani history and culture.

17 HEALTH: organisation of white days for Roma, employment of social nurses and Roma assistants.

19 COUNTERACTING UNEMPLOYMENT: Job counselling and employment monitoring, vocational training (upgrading and acquiring new qualifications), organisation of on-the-job training and subsidized employment.

21 ROMA AND CIVIL SOCIETY: Activities aimed at a modification of the Roma mentality in order to increase the level of social integration and participation in the development of civil society, Educational activities informing Roma about their civil rights and obligations, Polish social and political realities, access to pedagogical and psychological support.

22 KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ROMA: Dissemination of information about the Roma, Promotion of publications about the Roma, Regular broadcasting of programmes about the Roma in local and nation-wide media, Support of scientific research related to the Roma.

24 ADMINISTRATION EFFICIENCY SUPPORT Organisation of training and workshops for public employment services, social assistance services, local governments and NGOs, Encouragement of activities of public employment services and local governments to enhance job opportunities for Roma people, Research – evaluation of the impact and efficiency of different forms of support.

25 SUBACTIVITY Implementation of 24 projects with a value of 15,815, PLN (around 4 mil EUR) Another 22 projects qualified for implementation; value around 19 mil PLN (around 5 mil EUR) Projects implemented and those accepted for implementation declare support for around 6400 Roma. Project beneficiaries – mainly public authorities and Roma NGOs.
