WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL and to COMPUTER CLASS!!!! I’m so glad you are here!

Seating/Computer Arrangements You may pick your seat (unless I bring the laptops to your classroom). It is important that you remember your computer number. Your behavior determines if you can keep the seat you choose.

Computer Lab Rules Listen to and follow directions. Work quietly Show respect Keep yourself and others safe. Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

Be Patient!!!! Remember there is only one of me and lots of you, so please be patient when you need help. When you need something, please raise your hand & wait patiently. **At St. John’s -- please put your red cup on top of your computer tower when you have a question.

FOOD-DRINK-CANDY-GUM NONE are allowed near the computers. You will be asked to get rid of any open candy or food.

Restroom Breaks Please use the restroom before computer class. We only have a short amount of time each week. You will miss something if you leave. If it is an emergency, please raise your hand and let me know you need to be excused.

What we will learn: -How to use a computer. -How to use computer programs -The names of computer parts -New computer use words -How to be safe on the internet -That computers are fun

SAVE OFTEN!!!!!!!!! SAVE AS: If you have not given your work a file name and have not saved it yet, then “save as” SAVE: If you have already given your work a filename and have previously saved your work, then “save” ALWAYS BRING YOUR FLASH DRIVE ***PLEASE BRING A PENCIL TO EACH CLASS

Three Strike Rule Strike 1 & 2 are warnings. Strike 3 - loss of computer privilege. If problems continue, a conference with your teacher, principal, and parent may be necessary.
