Why you are here The Allegheny Intermediate Unit offers this program for our staff and those in school districts, charter schools, and early childhood organizations Your employer has decided to have you participate This will fulfill one of the requirements for Level II certification

Level II Certificate Requirements 1.Earn 24 post-baccalaureate credits -Can be from a college/university or an Intermediate Unit Educators who have been issued a Level I instructional certificate after September 22, 2007 must complete 6 specific credit hours as a part of the 24 semester hour post-baccalaureate credits. Therefore, effective September 1, 2011, individuals applying for Level II conversion must have earned at least six post- baccalaureate credits of collegiate study in the area of Inclusive Classrooms and/or in the area of Standards Aligned Systems (SAS).

Level II Certificate Requirements 2.Complete a PDE-approved Induction program 3. Teach 3 years in the area of certification and receive 6 satisfactory evaluations All requirements must be completed within 6 years
