2 Learning Intention We are learning to deepen our understanding of the components of the Instructional Design as it applies to our role as MTLs. Success Criteria We will know we are successful when we can articulate effective characteristics of the Explore component and how to support teachers to better plan and implement the Instructional Design.

3 Reflect and Share Think about a good EXPLORE that you have experienced in a classroom Turn and talk with your partner about what made that EXPLORE good Your description should include o the classroom environment o what the teacher was doing o what the students were doing

4 EXPLORE Compare your experience with ideas brainstormed last month that are listed on the handout Note the similarities and differences between the two sets of ideas

5 Barriers Think about various barriers you have seen in classrooms that hinder rich explorations? Share in your groups. Be prepared to share out 1 big idea whole group
